2026 Joint Health and Safety Committee Policy and Procedure Template BC
Aside from providing all your Joint Health and Safety Committee Members with 8 hours of training, every employer must ensure that a proper JHSC policy and procedure, including terms of reference, is in place as part of their overall health and safety program. Your newly formed joint health and safety committee in BC must establish its own rules of procedure, sometimes called terms of reference. These rules must set out how the committee will perform its duties and functions. The WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations require employers with 20 or more employees to have a Joint Health and Safety Committee in place at their worksite.
