2025 INCIDENT INVESIGTATIONS ONLINE COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Length: 2 Hours
If a workplace incident in BC results in an injury, or could have caused a serious injury, both employers and WorkSafeBC have certain responsibilities. Incident investigations help identify root causes and hazards, while finding ways to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Employers are responsible for conducting investigations related to incidents that happen in their workplaces and submitting employer incident investigation reports (EIIRs) to WorkSafeBC. Depending on the incident and how serious it is, employers may also need to immediately report the incident to WorkSafeBC. Employers are responsible for completing reports to represent the four stages of an investigation: preliminary investigation, interim corrective actions, full investigation, and full corrective actions. Our online incident investigations course will cover all information on how to effectively investigate an accident/incident starting at the accident scene. Our Online Incident Investigations training course is in full compliance with the BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations & Workers Compensation Act.

What kind of computer do I need to take your online courses?

You will also need access to a printer, as your certificate can be printed upon successful course completion, and there are resource documents you may wish to print before you begin your course.

Do I have to take an exam at the end of the online course?
Yes.  All of our courses are competency-centered, meaning that learners must complete an assessment(s) of some type (i.e. Exam) in order to demonstrate an adequate level of understanding of the topics presented throughout the course.  This provides a tremendous level of due diligence which is required to ensure that reasonable precautions are taken for the safety and health of the learner. 

What if I fail or don't do well on the exam?
A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course up to three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. So in reality, no one ever fails a course.

Do you provide group discounts for businesses?
Yes, group discounts are available for groups of 25 or more. Please EMAIL US prior to your purchase to receive your discounted price.

Do the online course certificates have an expiry date?
Yes, all of our online courses are valid for up to 2 or 3 years depending on the course. You will need to retake the course after a 2 or 3 year period.

What is your refund policy?
There are no refunds on digital products.
