In November 2013, the British Columbia’s Workers Compensation Act (WorkSafeBC) was amended to include three new policies addressing workplace bullying and harassment. Sections 115, 116 and 117 of the Act set out the general duties of employers, workers and supervisors. All employers in BC are required to train their Supervisors and Employees on recognizing the potential for bullying and harassment, responding to bullying and harassment, and procedures on reporting bullying and harassment incidents. Bullying and harassment in the workplace can take many forms, including verbal aggression, personal attacks, and other intimidating or humiliating behaviors. If workplace bullying and harassment is not addressed, it can lead to lost productivity, anxiety, and depression. An employer has a duty to ensure the health and safety of its workers, and as a result, employers must take all reasonable steps to prevent where possible, or otherwise minimize, workplace bullying and harassment. Workplace bullying and harassment can lead to injury, illness or death. Our unique Online Bullying and Harassment Training Course also includes sections on sexual harassment (human rights code) in the workplace. CLASSROOM - LIVE INSTRUCTOR LED (ZOOM 9:00 am to 12:00 pm)
The classroom Bullying & Harassment training course is a half day course (9:00 am to 12:00 pm pacific - all 3 hours of required training material is covered in this time frame) and is taught LIVE by our instructor via zoom (virtual training). Questioning and answering period during this course is possible as it is a LIVE course with an actual instructor. The day will include 1 x 15 min break. Each participant will either require access to their own PC or if you have multiple participants you can situate them in a room and project us from a audio/visual set up. After the course is complete all participants will be emailed their certificates.
ONLINE - SELF STUDY SELF PACED (NO INSTRUCTOR)
The online Bullying & Harassment training course is a self study online course and does not include a live instructor. Students will study the 3 hour training material on their own time (or we recommend giving your team a deadline for completion). There is NO TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE OUR ONLINE COURSE and is SELF PACED. This course consists of videos, power point presentations, written handouts, example forms and 1 exam. Study the Material and Email Us the FINAL EXAM When Finished. Your Exam Will be Marked within 1 to 2 business days and a Certificate of Completion will be emailed to the person who send us the exams. You may email us the exam anytime you like as there is no time limit for completion. This is not a pass or fail course. If for any reason a participant does not receive a minimum of 80% on their final exams, we will simply email them back and advise them to re-look at the questions they got wrong. All participants are guaranteed to receive their certification.
