At least once every year, every employer must audit, evaluate and review their health and safety program and discuss with their joint safety committee, safety representatives and/or workers ways to improve it. Under the workers compensation act, the employer must prepare and review at least annually a written occupational health and safety policy, and must develop and maintain a program to implement that policy. GG Health and Safety Consulting offers annual safety audits and safety auditing services which meets with this requirement. Employers should also look for any changes in the workplace that might affect health and safety, including any new hazards. As part of your OHS program review, every employer should make sure to continue to be compliant with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation in BC. Part of our health and safety consulting service is our safety program auditing process which is an effective tool to evaluate your current health and safety program. Problem areas are identified and solutions are suggested in the following areas: - provincial and federal regulatory requirements, - management commitment, - employee involvement and accountability, - work site job hazard analysis, - record keeping (due diligence), - safety training, and - hazard recognition and control. GG Health and Safety Consulting will thoroughly review your current health and safety program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations. We can audit both your overall company (written safety program due diligence) and your physical location(s); and then provide you accurate findings, recommendations by a comprehensive written audit report to address the limitations in your current health and safety programs. |
