Within this course, the entire spectrum of workplace violence is covered, focusing particularly on the ways in which employees can identify the potential for workplace violence, attempt to defuse it, and respond to it should it unfortunately occur. WORKPLACE VIOLENCE COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Length: 60 Minutes Our Violence in the Workplace Safety training course is in full compliance with the BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations & Workers Compensation Act. The potential for violence exists whenever there is direct interaction between workers and non-workers. Employers in BC must provide a workplace as safe from the threat of violence as possible. If there is a risk of violence in a workplace, every employer in BC must set up and instruct workers on procedures to eliminate or minimize the risks. All employees have the right to expect a workplace that promotes safety from violence, threats and harassment. Working for a business which deals with the public each and every day, employees are going to encounter situations involving unpredictable behavior. This course will cover the entire spectrum of workplace violence, focusing particularly on the ways in which employees can identify the potential for workplace violence, attempt to defuse it, and respond to it should it unfortunately occur.
