As of April 03, 2017 WorkSafeBC requires that all potential joint health and safety committee members in BC must receive 8 hrs of instruction in JHSC Training. GG Health and Safety Consulting is proud to present our 8 hour classroom JHSC training BC (JOSH Committee Training BC) course which meets and exceeds all new WorkSafeBC requirements. Our classroom 8 hour JHSC online training BC course, will assist employers and participants on how to start-up a committee at your workplace, how to effectively implement a JHSC, duties and functions of members and as a team, and the OHSR regulation. Our classroom Joint Health and Safety Committee Training BC 8 hour course is in full compliance with the BC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations & Workers Compensation Act. This is a full day course with a 10 minute break in the morning, a 30 minute lunch break and another 10 minute break in the afternoon.
A Minimum of 4 members must be present at your monthly JHSC meeting. All members must be certified and trained. It is recommended to also train 1 to 2 alternates. 50% can be management reps and 50% can be employee reps. You cannot have more management reps on your committee than employee reps. For example 2 managers; 4 employees is good. Employee Reps must be elected by the workers.
